Quitting WOW on Feb 16th.
The game has brought me many joys and i was honored to have fought all the bosses in the game with my Sinister/The Departed friends. Goodbye. This post will be expired on Feb 16th.
I am ready to spill my thoughts
It has been awhile since my last update. It was for a good cause, during this down time I have a new perspective on life, World of Warcraft, and virtual & reality. I found that World of Warcraft's world is very much similar to ours. No surprise there since it is made out of human being from the real world. However, that's not why they are alike. I claim they are the same if because like real life, it is filled with anger, sadness, jealousy, envy, stupidity, and cowardliness. What's missing in World of Warcraft are bravery, kindness, selflessness, and heart. They are exactly what is missing from this day and age in the real life. In World of Warcraft, we, the players can not die. We can resurrect no matter what happened to us. (Well, we can be deleted and that will cause a lot of pain.) It is understandable that we don't need bravery, kindness, selflessness and heart because if we can't lose, why bother with these thing.
What makes me wonder is why these human traits are missing from the real world. We can die, and we can feel things, but we are missing these good DNA of our corrupted humanity. I can't wrap my mind around it. Perhaps you guys can elite me, am I missing some vital information? It is fun to kill randomly because it makes other people angry and on top of that, if they can't kill you back, it will only make them even more mad. I enjoy the feeling of killing somebody and knowing that they can't do shit back to me. But why the feeling also is true when it comes to real life event. The wars around the world, everywhere, why? Is fighting the only means there is left for human being to feel their existence? Is killing somebody the only way to make one self realize that he/she is still alive? Is confrontation the only way for people to have a reason to live? Why don't people just do their own shit and stop fucking with others.
Even so called non-violent movements are full of anger and hatred for others. Why? Passion is one of the sources for hatred? Wanting to help others can trigger madness? Today, we argue about everything, nobody wants to compromise, nobody want to back down, nobody want to negotiate. Why not? Isn't bound built upon trust, compromising, and kindness to others?
What's even more pissing me off is people these days have no honor. They even laugh at people who even mentions about honor. I haven't see one leader from anywhere in the world keep their promises. Yes, you can make the argument that politics are dirty and dark but it is this very attitude that makes it what it is today. If we don't tolerate this kind of behavior in the very beginning, will politics still be this dark and sinister? I don't know the answer to it because I have never lived in a society like that.
It took me a long long time to finish this blog entry. During the time, a lot of things happened. Olympics, a war between Georgia and Russia, John Edward cheated on his wife, and of course people died. I am still a little bit upset about Battlestar Galactica and it's accurate reflection of the real world. However, WOW keeps me strong and put my mind to rest. I've been playing Hunter lately and I am enjoying it. Surprisingly, I have finished reading a book(the whole thing) which hasn't happened for the past few years. It was a book called ZERO - The Biography of a Dangerous Idea. Good read as it discussed the origin of ZERO, why people fear it and denied it for so long and what it's relationship with anything and everything in the universe, time and space.
Finally, I saw the official World of Warcraft Wrath of the Lich King's trailer today and I have three works for you: Go watch it!
Well, have fun and I'll see you guys in game.
It was the worst of two weeks in my life...
Hey guys, it has been two weeks since I updated this post. I am very sorry, but live has been hard for me for the past two weeks. First of all, I should not watch Battlestar Galactica continuously for the past two weeks excluding weekends and nights. It did something to me mentally and I was in this huge soul searching journey for most of the times even when I am grinding on my hunter at night. As if every creature I killed I took out some anger about the fact that I am Human. The show made me hating Human but it also help me restore faith in Human as well. So, as it turned out, I was in no shape to raid or do anything with anybody. I had fights with girl friend, dad, and couple friends so I decided to lock myself up and just kill whatever it is in WOW and fulfilling my Human nature. Anyway, I got all that out of my system now and I am good to go.
Oh, don't watch BSG like I did because it'll do something to you too.
Anyway, good news, I got my Blizzard Authenticator and I love it, but I do need to carry it with me everywhere otherwise I won't be able to log on. Which is good. For the past two weeks, the world of WOW is pretty quiet, nothing too exciting that is happening other than the SOLD OUT of the Blizzard Authenticator and the server problems we encountered. Most of the WOW sites has the WOTLK talent calculator up and running so everybody can try them out and see how you like your main to be like but keep this in mind: Nothing is finalized.
As I was looking through some addons, I noticed some addons that is very interesting. oGlow does nothing but put a glow around the border of an item on character's window, it helps easily identify what kind gear the person you are inspecting has. The other one is called Combuctor which is a bag mod. You guys can check them out and see if you like it or not.
Cool, I am gonna go work now. I'll see you guys tonight
Crazy Week and Weekend
First of all, I would like to congratulate to everybody in the raid last week. We kicked six bosses asses on Tuesday and Killed Mother the next day and Council the after. We also get Illidan down to 65%. Over all, it has been a terrific week. Weekend wasn't good though, I guess everybody was careless and too casual on Sunday, but all is well.
I have been lazy myself, updated this post one week late. However, I did bring a lot of news today. First of all, I hope all of you know about the any Blizzard, WOW related official website has a Splashing screen last week. If you have seen it, here is a link to it. This is for the announcement of Diablo III at the WWI in Paris. I have to say, after watching the video demo, I am sold already. Blizzard is gonna take every penny out of my pocket, DAMN YOU BLIZZARD TO HELL. Anyway, the list of Bliizard's upcoming games are WOTLK, SC II, and Diablo III. For more info, go to MMO-Champion for all the pics, news, and videos.
Now, this is my favorite part of the week last week. First of all, entangle can finally be used indoor. KooDos! Dire Bear form is getting a new look and also the introduction of Dire Cat form. Damn, feral is getting buffed. My sunmote is not selling, so gay. Anyway, hope to see you all if I am not working late.
Oh, I forgot one thing, if you want to protect yourself from Keyloggers, buy Blizzard Authenticator from Blizzard Store. It was announced last week and it is up for sell over the weekend. You can link it to your account and every time you need to log on, it will generate a random code and you need to type it in to log on. So keyloggers won't be able to get that code. I just bought one for 7 dollar, after tax, free shipping. I will let you guys know when I get my hands on it. If you are interested and I am sure some of you do because you have been the victim before. Buy it from Blizzard: http://www.blizzard.com/store/details.xml?id=1100000182
Finally, I would like to ask Kiata to draw me instead of Mistika next, come on, face it, my toon is way sexier than his.
Summer holiday is here
Today, Blizzard presents Summer Holiday 2008. There are many different stories and quest items for everybody to experience.
But this is not the big news this week. What is real catching my eyes is the new patch 2.4.3. It is said that character of level 30 and above will be able to get their regular mount with around 36 gold. Personally, it is the best news for a long time because often when I am leveling a new character, the single thing that prevent me from leveling it up is the long traveling time. Most of my alts are level 20+ and level 30+ and I just don't have the interests to level that 10-20 more levels to get the regular mount which is still very slow for me. With this change, I can finally level my paladin, shaman, and maybe a mage to level 70.
Yesterday, While I was riding the BART to home, I was thinking about WOTLK, suddenly, a light bulb poped. I have figured out why Blizzard does not want to increase character slots. If they do, they will lose a lot of money. Think about it, if you have all the character slots filled and leveled to level 70, will you be willing to delete them? Probably not, what is the next step you are going to try to do to save your precious characters and roll a death knight on your server? Drum~~~~~ You transfer it to your second account!!! Oh Blizzard, you sneaky sneaky little fox. I'll do it if I have all the 70 on my server, no doubt. What do you think?
This one is guild related. As many of you might already know, Qbizzle will be inactive for 4-6 weeks. It is sad because we will be missing him during the time BUT with Qbizzle out of the picture, Archimonde magically become farmable. LOL Just joking. I think Qbizzle just jinx the fight against Archimonde. Anyway, I hope all is well for him and be back at the end of 4 weeks.
Oh yeah, I got a Sunmote... WTS
Koodos, I see no Arena Season 4 Season 4 coming out Jun 24
Like the blue said, Season 4 won't be starting anytime soon. They want the PVE gear and PVP gear to be "on par" however you want to read it, it means no free Arena Season 2 weapon for you. I was wrong. Today, it was confirmed by Eyonix that Season 4 gears will be lived on Jun 24. Arena 2 gears will be moved to be purchasable by honor point and Arena 1 gears will be moved to Isle of Quel'danas that will be purchasable by Tier 4 tokens.
I have been waiting for it for a good six weeks now. I have farmed all the honor and marks necessary to obtain the Season 2 weapon for my SPriest. It looks like I will just keep doing those Heroics on Xzigraz so I can get some more healing upgrade through badge gears. Talking about Xzigraz's gear, I haven't been able to update the Xzigraz's Loot Goal page for a long time. I have acquired a few new gears over the past few weeks and I think it deserves a second look now. 1480 +healing ---> 1708 +healing is not a small deal for me. Anyway, I am working on an project call The Departed Family Movie which fill feature animated active members' introductions in flash format. It is done using WOW Model Viewer, Premier CS3(shut up if you are going to say why don't you use final cut), and Flash CS3. I already finished Qbizzle's animation caption and I will post a demo soon.
It's only Tuesday today so I will be updating this post a few more times this week. Meanwhile, lets raid tonight. I hope we are doing Hyjal and I hope I can get in for second boss. I need him.
Update: If you need money, read this.
This is this weeks' last update.
As I mentioned earlier this week. Searson 4 will be lived on June 24th, what I failed to mention is that how the ranking system will be for season 4. It is said that Blizzard is so tired of people selling their Arena points has made the changes to prevent this from happening. What that means is instead of getting Area point from your team rating, each individual will get Area points based on their personal rating. Blizzard claim it will solve the problem. In my honest opinion, it has solved problem by creating another one. In the end, people still profit from the Area system. Thinking about it, before, the team sells the team rating; now, individual player will be able to sell themselves to teams whom need a little boost. Either way, Arena points is being sold. I don't see why they actually need to implement it at all. After all, we are in a Free Market Economic System, Blizzard should just let the market control the gaming economy as well. Ma'I rit?
Anyway, have a nice weekend and hope you guys will be able to kill ROS tonight. I hope I will be but I don't know when the power will be up at my house. If you guys see this on Saturday, it means I updated one day later due to power outage. /Pray PGE
Slow Week
Oh well, last week was boring, no news, no leaks, no nothing. I think the most exciting news in WOW was that Gamestop and Amazon starting to accept preorders for the WOTLK. WoW, boy am I going to order it right now, NOT. Who the fuck will ever preorder another WOW expansion? I remember one of my friend didn't get his preorder until three days after I bought one from store on the release day. Stupid preorder.
Anyway, since there is no news. I'm gonna talk about the Archimonde fight we had last week, I was there for the last five attempts. We didn't kill him. He was at 35% I think. Why can't we kill him? Doomfire moving in circles around Archimonde. This kills a lot of people and dead people kill even more alive people. Don't run side ways, move your character 180 degrees so that the back of your character is facing Archimonde when you see the fire coming your way and run straight for about 5 seconds then move side way and then get back to what you need to do. It will make it a lot more easier if people didn't make the fire running in circle through the raid groups. Anyway, I think this is one of the most annoying and hard fight in the game and it should be. This fits the lore because Archimonde is after all the same level as Kil'Jaeden and we already having problem killing Kil'Jaeden when he is half way into our world. Keep it in mind, nobody killed Kil'Jaeden yet, we just kicked him back to wherever he came from.
Well, it is 10:51 AM right now and I am waiting on the news on the new iPhone. I hate Apple, but after looking at all the smartphones on the market, I didn't find anything that can compare to iPhone in terms of Value/Price. The next best thing is the HTC Diamond but it'll cost me around 700 dollars and the new iPhone 3G is rumored to only selling for around 200 dollars. So it's a no brainer for me to pick the iPhone right? For any of you want to get a smartphone, the most important part about iPhone is it doesn't lose in value. An used iPhone can still sells for around 385. Why not.
Update: As of 11:39AM, iPhone 3G is finally announced. Cheaper, better availability, and better looking. Let's see if the battery life is longer or not.
This week around WOW and other news
First of all, congrats to SK Gaming for the world first Kil'Jaeden kill. I have seen the videos and it was impressive. Not only do we get to experiences what it feels like to be a blue dragonflight, we also get to get to know a part of the lore after the encounter. And oh boy oh boy, the fight is intense and there aren't much alternatives to beat Kil'Jaeden in terms of group positioning and class choices. The more aoe healing the better in my opinion because there are a lot of raid wide damaging going on. It truly is an epic battle. Take a look yourself.
KJHQ.wmv
I would also like to gratz to Stefang from Last Resort on EU server Boulderfist for he is the first Hunter on live realm to acquire the lengendary bow - Thori'dal the Star's Fury. The most unique features of this bow is that it doesn't require arrows, so Hunter with it can free up their arrow bag. Five bags at last. Horray!!!
Druid is my first character even since release, and I have been playing on Kil'Jaeden too and I lost faith for it before but I have never doubt it since the release of the Burning Crusade. This belief has been strengthened this week when I saw Serennia soloed Onyxia. Druid is truly all powerful and mighty. I want an all Druids raid even more now. The fight was a very very very very long one and the video even skipped a lot of them but it is still epic like the Kil'Jaeden encounter. Serennia is truly a good player and I wish someday I can match up with his skill and patiences. May Elune always be with you my fellow Druid.
Finally, I would like to talk about some off topic stuff. As some of you may know, this week is big in the tech community as Wall Street's The D conference happened this week. Lots of cool toys to play around if I have the money. Personally, I am not all that impressed by Microsoft's Windows 7 because all I get to see is the multi-touch technology, as I called it the iPhone interface 2.0. Hopefully, Microsoft will do something extraordinary in the next installment of PC operation system.
I also read the news about the new OLED monitor from Sony and that made my drool over my keyboard, I wish I have the money to get my hand on it and make hot sex with it see how good it is. Oh well, man can always dream right?
Then I saw the Dell mini laptop that Dell was holding in his hand, sweet looking little thing and of course, I drooled again...
Well, I hope you all like this new weekly format and turn in next week for more.
This just in today, Par a paladin just soloed Onyxia too, it won't be long until we saw a Shaman solo her. ROFLOL... Hybrid class. They are something.
I also have a good news for everybody that is trying to farm their shadow resist gears, I am now able to make the +8 all school resistance food. All it take is some Bloodfin fish that can be fished from around Karazhan and Zul'Aman. If you need it to, just pst me and I'll cook your fish. If you don't have the fish, I'll get it for you. Errr... fishing. Also I need to know who can make the leather shadow resistant gears in the guild. And of course, grats on the Bloodboil kill. You guys rock, once I hit 1900 +healing, I'll be able to join you guys for those fights.
