CLASS SCHEDULEStudents begin their day at 8:30 am by participating in a community meeting with their peers and teachers where they will share news and hear announcements. Students then proceed to academic classes in math, English, ESL, science, and history based on their interest and ability. The VIA students and teachers will enjoy lunch in the cafeteria around noon, before proceeding to afternoon classes such as electives, art, and physical education before school ends at 3:30 pm. After-school, students will have opportunities to study and to participate in recreational activities and sports. The dorm assistants and teachers may accompany students to dinner in the cafeteria before additional study time and quiet time. Weekend activities may include excursions to the nearby mountains or seashore. Community building and hands-on learning will be incorporated into all aspects of the program.
