FOUNDER: SUSAN XU

A native of Ningbo, China, Susan arrived in Silicon Valley 25 years ago with little more than her family and a work ethic that survived the Cultural Revolution. In 1995, she embarked on her first major business experience by founding a small office team called Silver Computing, a company which would later become the foundation for WebEx Communications. WebEx became a leading platform for corporate meetings, with the emphasis of fostering international relationships. With WebEx being acquired by Cisco Systems in 2007, Susan resigned as VP of Operations to pursue new projects in education. With the same goal of fostering international relationships, Susan decided to pursue the building of an international school in Silicon Valley. Her hope is that it will foster an entrepreneurial spirit that would provide students with an opportunity to grow a healthy appetite for learning, risk-taking, and leadership. She also became the co-owner of a new school in Victoria, British Columbia in Canada called the Dwight International School alongside other educational projects..
